Four Christmas Charms for Bracelets
Who doesn’t love a charm! These four charms can be added to an earhook to make earrings, a chain to make a necklace or a charm bracelet. You could even add them to a wine glass charm or a keyring. The possibilities are endless.
The first three are aimed at beginners and literally take minutes to make. The Christmas Wreath requires a little more skills but is certainly not too difficult. Why not give it a try.
Materials
To make it super easy for you I’ve made up some kits which contain all of the components you will need. You can purchase the kit here.

Christmas Angel
Feed the beads onto the eyepin in the following order:
- 12mm Bead
- Angel Wings
- 6mm Vacuum Bead
Trim the eyepin to within about 1cm of the beads. Make a loop (watch the video for full instructions) and attach the charm to whatever you want, for example add the ear hook for an earring or attach to a jump ring and a chain for a necklace.
Christmas Ornament
Add the beads to the eyepin in the following order:
- Rhinestone Ball
- Beaded Rondelle
- Bicone
- Seed Bead
- Corrugated Ball
- Seed Bead
Bend the eyepin at right angles to the top bead. Trim the eyepin to about 1cm from the top bead.
Make the loop and attach to your bracelet, necklace or earhook.
Christmas Candy Cane
Feed eight red and seven white seed beads onto the ballpin alternatively, starting and ending with a red.
Bend the ballpin over so that it is at right angles to the beads.
Make the loop. Turn the work so that you are now working with the ball end.
Very carefully bend the beaded wire around the top of the jaws of your round nose pliers. Don’t squeeze as you will break the beads.
Attach either a jump ring or ear hook between the beads at the top of the curve. Reshape as necessary.
Christmas Wreath
Cut a piece of 26 gauge wire about 30cm long. Put it through the loop of the drop and wrap the short end around four times ending on the back. Push the loops together so that they sit nice and tight.
Trim the wire on the back using the flush side of your cutters and push down any ends.
Add a green bead. Make a little space between the wraps and the bead and bend the wire so that bead sits against the ring of the drop.
Feed the wire through the ring and wrap three times around the ring. Push the wraps up close to the bead.
Alternate red and green beads wrapping three times between beads until you have all the beads in place. You may have to reposition the beads to make them all fit.
Add the last bead and wrap the wire around four times ensuring the wraps sit between the bead and the connector part of the loop. End the wrap on the back. Trim off the wire and push down any ends.
Now you can attach the charm to your project.
These are four very quick and easy charms to make. They took me about an hour to make two of each of them.
